"This DVD teaches one 'how to
fish', rather than 'catching the fish' for
somebody, and Richard Nongard is a great teacher. This DVD showed me
very practical ways of relaxing and will continually be a great
resource, reminder, and replenishing."

You know you have low self esteem. You know it affects every part of your life. You know you can't change overnight and that it's not just going to go away. The advice you get is "Think of yourself in a new way" or "Set goals and achieve them". Well, that's a heck of lot easier said then done, isn't it?
Start out slowly. Pick one thing to work on. You know you better than almost anyone so you have to decide what your first "goal" is going to be. Old habits die hard but you CAN change them. And it's not about will power it's about a little bit of power -- just a little bit. The second little bit works on the first little bit, the third onthe second and so forth. The first one is the hardest one. The second one is the second hardest ... it gets easier and easier.
Also, understand that everyone around you is more concerned about what you think of them than anything you are doing, thinking, saying or wearing. Every single person is worried about how they look, how many zits are showing, whether anyone is going to notice that their hair isn't perfect today. Amazing, isn't it? Everyone you see has the same worries. They may not act like they have any wories, but they do. This really helped me approach other people more easily because I was very sympathetic to their concerns.
There are days that I felt so totally worthless, unaccomplished and unattractive that I really wondered why I was even alive. To help my self feel more wothwhile I used to ask myself
Did I kill anyone today? No.
Did I hurt anyone's feelings today? No,not that I know of and I certainly didn't have that intent if I did.
Did I helpanyone today? Yes, in little ways, but yes, I did. I held the door for a little boy.
Did I get myself to work today? On time? Yes.
Did I do a reasonably good job? Did I actually earn my wages? Yes.
So, OK. I'm not a total waste of oxygen. Maybe close, but not totaly. And my next question to myself was "What can I do tomorrow?"
The scariest part of changing yourself is moving into the unknown. Even being depressed is something you can count on. Yes, it's stupid and I know you don't like it, but admit the fact that your life as you know it is your comfort zone. To become something different, you have to move out of your comfort zone. You know the old adage "Doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results is the definition of insanity". So do something different. Anything. Again, it should not be anything big. Tomorrow maybe your new thing could be to smile at everyone you pass in the hall, on the street or in the supermarket. Just do it. You'll feel like an idiot the first few times, but do it anyway. Make it a game. Test it out to see how many people smile back at you. (You'll be pleasantly surprised at how many do smile back.)
Just try a few little things. When you understand that it is your actions, your decisions and your plans that create positive actions from others, you will have taken your first step to a new you.

How to master yourself for ultimate confidence and how to get everthing you've ever wanted out of life.
